      Eric Grubel – President and CEO


      Eric joined Asoka in April 2010 as president and CEO. He brings to Asoka over 20 years of executive experience in the communications hardware and software industry at some of the industry’s fastest growing and most innovative companies. Prior to Asoka, Eric held various executive roles in companies such Alcatel Lucent, Clarent Corporation, ACT Networks and Xylan Corp. At Alcatel Lucent Eric served as vice president for North American Enterprise Sales, where he grew sales from $135 million to over $200 million within two years. At Clarent, Eric was the president of the Carrier Division, with responsibility for developing and executing Clarent’s strategy for Class IV replacement. In this role his organization delivered the industry’s first IP-based Class IV replacement solution and won the world’s first Class IV replacement trial with Telefonica. Prior to Clarent Eric was vice president of sales at ACT Networks, where he grew sales over 25% quarter on quarter, vice
      president of sales and marketing at Sabeus Photonics and director of business development at Xylan where he was responsible for development and management of Xylan’s OEM business. Eric has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing and Information Sciences from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada and a Masters of Philosophy in International Business and Finance from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern Graduate School of Business, Eric was an adjunct faculty member at NYU teaching International Financial Management and International Trade Theory and Commercial Policy.
